Care should be used to preserve this owner Registration as it is necessary to present it to the County Treasurer when making transfer of this car.
Tax information for Income Tax purposes, is on the owner copy of the Vehicle Registration. Retain Vehicle Registration for refund of Property Tax should vehicle be disposed of.
How long after I purchase my vehicle do I have to apply for a title in my name?
Failure to apply for a title in your name within 30 days from the notarized purchase date, a $2.00 penalty is charged.
What if I want a copy of my title?
Duplicate Title can be secured from County Treasurer at a cost of $10.00.
What if I want to transfer my title?
When Certificate of Title is transferred, it must be brought to County Treasurer in county in which you reside. A fee of $10.00 is charged for issuing a Certificate of Title. A fee of $4.50 is charged for each transfer of registration.
When are tax payments due?
Tax payments are due and payable November 1st. 1st half December 20 without penalty and 2nd half May 10 of following year without penalty.
