The Doniphan County Chamber of Commerce celebrated Kirkwood & Co. table and tap restaurant in Highland on Friday, March 19, with a red ribbon cutting ceremony. Established at the end of 2019, Kirkwood & Co. started with local community members and a vision to have a gathering place for everyone in the surrounding area to enjoy a nice meal. Twelve community investors and many other supporters came together to turn that idea into a reality.
Then in November 2020, the Highway 36 Association held an online voting contest to find the 13 best burgers on Highway 36 in Kansas. Each county located on Highway 36 in Kansas had its own poll which citizens and visitors could vote on and one winner was chosen from each of the counties to create the list of the 13 best burgers on 36. Kirkwood & Co. was voted as Doniphan County’s ‘Best Burger’ winner!
Even though Kirkwood is known for having great burgers, appetizers and drinks, they have a full menu and have specific meal specials daily. Be sure to check out the new building, chat with friendly staff and take-in the fun atmosphere while enjoying a meal with friends. They provide dine-in, take-out and outdoor patio seating as well as catering and a private meeting room for small groups.
Kirkwood & Co. is open on Monday-Thursday from 11:00 am – 10:00 pm, Friday-Saturday from 11:00 am – 12 am and Sunday from 11:00 am – 9:00 pm. They are located at 401 W.
