Doniphan County currently has no facilities of its own to house, rehabilitate, or rehome lost or abandoned animals. Much of the work is done by volunteers or is in cooperation with Brown and Atchison counties. 

Volunteer Trina Earl is working to start a non-profit shelter/rehab center, and wants community input. Please make plans to attend one of the town hall meetings being held across the county, to offer support, brainstorm ideas, and share any resources you are aware of. 

The meetings will being with a brief presentation from Trina about her experience and vision, to be followed by discussion from the community. Don’t worry if iyou can’t make it to the entire thing or can’t come right at the beginning!

All meetings will start at 6:30 p.m. and will continue until about 8 p.m.
