Troy, KS – Support for the Library in Troy overflowed during their Open House and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Thursday, April 12. County residents, a multitude of volunteers, donors, board members, staff and patrons all came together to celebrate the completion of the four-year long building renovation project.
The event started at 6 p.m. with a cake cutting and punch reception as guests viewed a slide show of pictures from before, during and after the Library building renovation process. Later, the Doniphan County Chamber of Commerce congratulated everyone who helped make the renovation possible and presented the library board with a certificate and red ribbon cutting. Library tours of the facility carried on the entire evening as people socialized.
“We were just so excited to celebrate all of the hard work our donors and volunteers put in to make our library beautiful and new. It was a long time in the making and this party was a chance for the library board and staff to say thank you to our community,” said Library Director, Maggie McKeithan.
