Public Transportation

Doniphan County General Public Transportation is available 5 days a week, Monday-Friday, 8:00 A.M.-5:00 P.M. Ridership is not based on any particular requirement other than you must be Doniphan County resident. Call 785-985-2380 to a schedule a ride. Please give us a much advance notice as possible. The service is available without discrimination on grounds of race, color, religion, sex, age or national origin.

Call for a pickup by a KDOT funded vehicle. The fleet has four minivans, and a lift equipped van which are all wheelchair accessible. Transportation services are closed on all holidays in accordance with the Doniphan County Courthouse Holidays schedule. Transporation services are also closed during inclement weather. Closing are posted on KQ-2  TV.

Reservations

Anyone wishing to ride the van is requested to give us a much advance notice as possible. To schedule a ride, call 785-985-2380.

Fares

Local rides which are 25 miles or less one way (St. Joseph, Hiawatha, Atchison, and anywhere in Doniphan County) will be $10.00 round trip.

Out of area rides which are more than 25 miles one way (Kansas City, Topeka, Leavenworth, Seneca, Maryville, Horton, and Sabetha) will be $35.00 round trip.

Administration

Administration for the program is coordinated through the Doniphan County Council on Aging located in the basement of the County Courthouse. More information may be obtained by calling the office at 785-985-2380.
