This past Friday, on March 24th, the Doniphan County Chamber of Commerce performed a back to back ribbon cutting ceremony to honor two neighboring businesses on St. Joseph Street in downtown Wathena, Kansas who have both undergone new ownership.
The beloved shop, the Flower Peddler, has been bought and re-opened by Janie and Jake Newton. Flower peddler is most well-known for providing floral arrangements, but they also sell a full line of bereavement gifts, angels, and home décor as well! Located at 310 St. Joseph Street in Wathena, the store is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. and on Saturday’s from 9 a.m. until noon.
